Architecture case-study series

Living on an island, you may think of lush green mountains and scenic breathtaking beaches, but I was always entranced by koa wood floors and a lanai peering over the Pacific Ocean. Architecture to me is not just about four walls and a roof. It’s a feeling. The experience of being captivated by a space and how to move within it. To build a world that allows you to be yourself.

With that simple notion, Haven was created as a refuge for stories encompassing the architectural realm.
— A case-study to explore more than what meets the aesthetic eye.

“Kanye and Alexis’ LA crib in 2007. It was pop art heaven: simple and tasteful but youthful and vibrant through careful use of color. We have tried to keep that same vibe/energy throughout our space with lots of colorful art pieces that fun energy into our home.”

“After looking at a couple of houses where we thought our perfect neighborhood would be, we decided to look at something different with little to no expectations. Sure enough, the moment we pulled into the driveway and parked - we both turned to each other and said, this is the one.”

”We have 50 years of ideas for the crib, if we don’t love the process then we spend 49 years working on something we will enjoy for one.”
